DRIVING LICENCE REQUIREMENT
We require either of the following driving licenses as required by Traffic Law in Sri Lanka (You can be charged for driving without a valid license and bear all liabilities arising)
1.. Sri Lankan Driving License (With over 3 years of experience).
2.. International Driving License with an endorsement by the Automobile Association (AA) done for Rs 500 and over the counter (The AA office in Colombo is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 4pm). Our representative will assist you free of charge.
3.. Foreign Driving License holders - A Temporary Sri Lankan Driving License has to be obtained from the Registrar of Motor Vehicles (RMV) in Werahera (30 minute drive from Central Colombo). The RMV processing cost is approx. Rs. 1,500/- and the process takes about 30 minutes. The RMV is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 3 pm. Our representative will assist you to obtain the License free of charge.
If the License is not in English, a translation by the respective Embassy is required).
To obtain a Temporary Sri Lankan Driving License, the following documents are required
a. Your own Country Driving License (English Copy/ Translation)
b. 2 Nos Passport Sized Colour Photos
c. Your National Passport
Вопросы: российские права, выданные в 2005 году - они какими будут являться на ШЛ: International (пунктик 2) или Foreign (3-й вариант)...и что такое в принципе "иностранные права"?
